Grace Hotkewicz is an award winning artist who was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at the age of 14. She started taking art classes just a few weeks after she was diagnosed, and discovered that it provided her a powerful way to express her her feelings when she couldn't find the words to do so. Much of Grace's artwork depicts the challenges and emotions she faced following her unusually late diagnosis. Her work has been recognized by the Scholastic Art Awards, the Governor's School for the Arts, and the Congressional Art Competition. Her work has also been published in several art anthologies featuring outstanding young artists. She is currently pursuing a BFA with a concentration in graphic design at the University of Louisville, and looks forward to continuing her career as an artist.
